Formula for Living Success
If there were a formula for living success... from the inside out, it would look like this:
Being + Doing + Having = Success from Inside Out.
Many people have this backwards. Their formula for success looks like this:
Having + Doing + Being = Success... from the Outside in.
One of my clients was faithfully following this OUTSIDE IN formula when he first came to me. His goal was to make lots of money by the time he was 40 so he could then quit his job, finally do the work he loved, and live the life he really wanted. He was working long hours to pursue this goal, had a BMW and latest toys, and yet rarely had time to spend with his wife, friends and family. He couldn't understand why his life lacked meaning.
Many people have their priorities upside down. They get bogged down in the HAVING stage. They Can,t get past it to the Being stage because they feel like they just don't have enough yet. They think that what defines their success is how much money they have, the People they know, and the things they possess.
My client is now in the process of turning his priorities around by following Inside Out formula to success. He is finding that to have a fulfilling, joyful and successful life its essential to first:
1. BE:
Be Yourself. Know who you really are. Know what's most important to you. Knows what makes you unique. Know what you do best. This introspection and clarity will take you into the second stage.
2. DO:
Do those things you do best. Use your gifts and talents in a way that helps others. Touch people in meaningful ways. Leave a lasting legacy. This takes you to the third stage.
3. HAVE:
Have a life, not just a lifestyle. A Life spent with those who matter most to you. A life with financial rewards for doing what you love to do.
Which formula do you subscribe to? If it's the OUTSIDE in formula, then it's time to turn that around. Re-designing, your life around the INSIDE OUT formula is an evolving process. Start by saying no to HAVING as your primary goal and commit to turning your priorities around. Decide today to say yes to Being First, and the doing and having will naturally follow. Now you are on your way to living success... from the inside out.

True Love
It was a busy morning, about 8:30 am, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb.
He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.
The doctor took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him.
The doctor saw him looking at his watch and decided, since he was not busy with another patient, he would evaluate his wound.
On exam, it was well healed, so the doctor talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, doctor asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.
The gentleman told him no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.
Doctor inquired as to her health. He told that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's disease.
As they talked, doctor asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.
He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.
Doctor was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?"
He smiled as he patted his hand and said,
"She doesn't know me, but "I still know who she is."
The doctor had to hold back tears as he left, he had goose bumps on his arm, and thought,
"That is the kind of love I want in my life."
True love is neither physical, nor romantic.
True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be

" The Boss "
" The Boss "
|
One day, one scientist came to his boss and told him - Sir, I have promised to my children that I will take them to the exhibition going on in our township. So I want to leave the office at 5 30 pm.
His boss replied - O K, , You are permitted to leave the office early today.
The Scientist started working. He continued his work after lunch. As usual he got involved to such an extent that he looked at his watch when he felt he was close to completion.Time was 8.30 p.m
Suddenly he remembered of the promise he had given to his children. He looked for his boss, He was not there. Having told him in the morning itself, he closed everything and left for home.
Deep within himself, he was feeling guilty for having disappointed his children.
He reached home. Children were not there. His wife alone was sitting in the hall and reading magazines. The situation was explosive, any talk would boomerang on him.
His wife asked him - Would you like to have coffee or shall I straight away serve dinner if you are hungry.
The man replied - If you would like to have coffee, i too will have but what about Children???
Wife replied- You don't know - Your manager came at 5 15 p.m and has taken the children to the exhibition.
What had really happened was
The boss who granted him permission was observing him working seriously at 5.00 p.m. He thought to himself, this person will not leave the work, but if he has promised his children they should enjoy the visit to exhibition. So he took the lead in taking them to exhibition
The boss does not have to do it everytime. But once it is done, loyalty is established.
That is why all the scientists at Thumba continued to work under their boss eventhough the stress was tremendous.
By the way , can you have a guess as to who the boss was????????

Humble Banana Leaf
People think using plastic plates/cups/ containers/ covers etc for food is the MODERN way of living. They are ready to spend a lot of money on these disposables. Where are these disposed? In the dust bin and they end up in a heap in some corner of the city and will stay there for the next 10000 years without any degradation. In picnic places and marriage (reception!) houses the effect of this craze is seen in the backyards. There are now no landfills to throw them in many cities.
Now humble banana leaf
1. Low cost compared to other 'disposable&# 39; plastics.
2. Healthy to eat from as per Ayurveda
3. Clean and cleanable with sprinkling of water
4. As per our Acharas
5. It is itself food for cows and cattle after use by humans.
6. Will decay and disappear within a few days- becomes good organic fertiliser.
7. With one full leaf at least 3 to 7 persons can eat depending on the size and type of food.
8. Can always be regrown- endless supply.
9. Can be shaped as a cup- donnai for payasam etc.
10. Can be cut into any size as per requirements.
11. No need to use detergents to clean as it is simply thrown away.
12. Saves Water for washing and cleaning.
13. Helping poor farmers.
14. Daily eating on the floor with banana leaf avoids getting knee pains later in life.

Grandpa's Letter
Dear Grandson,
Years ago you came to me for help. You said, "Grandpa, how is it that you've accomplished so much in your life? You're still full of energy, and I'm already tired of struggling. How can I get that same enthusiasm that you've got?"
I didn't know what to say to you then. But knowing my days are numbered, I figure that I owe you an answer. So here is what I believe.
I think a lot of it has to do with how a person looks at things. I call it 'keeping your eyes wide open.'
First, realize that life is filled with surprises, but many are good ones. If you don't keep watching for them, you'll miss half the excitement. Expect to be thrilled once in a while, and you will be.
When you meet up with challenges, welcome them. They'll leave you wiser, stronger, and more capable than you were the day before. When you make a mistake, be grateful for the things it taught you. Resolve to use that lesson to help you reach your goals.
And always follow the rules. Even the little ones. When you follow the rules, life works. If you think you ever really get by with breaking the rules, you're only fooling yourself.
It's also important to decide exactly what you want. Then keep your mind focused on it, and be prepared to receive it.
But be ready to end up in some new places too. As you grow with the years, you'll be given bigger shoes to fill. So be ready for endings as well as challenging beginnings.
Sometimes we have to be brave enough to move from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Life isn't just reaching peaks. Part of it is moving from one peak to the next. If you rest too long in between, you might be tempted to quit. Leave the past in the past. Climb the next mountain and enjoy the view.
Dump things that weigh you down emotionally and spiritually. When an old resentment, belief, or attitude becomes heavy, lighten your load. Shed those hurtful attitudes that slow you down and drain your energy.
Remember that your choices will create your successes and your failures. So consider all the pathways ahead, and decide which ones to follow. Then believe in yourself, get up, and get going.
And be sure to take breaks once in a while. They'll give you a renewed commitment to your dreams and a cheerful, healthy perception of the things that matter the most to you.
Most important of all, never give up on yourself. The person that ends up a winner is the one who resolves to win. Give life everything you've got, and life will give its best back to you.
Love always,
Grandpa

When she smiled
Moral of the story: Physical appearance should never be in the foreground while you judge a person's caliber.
