All you need to do is act like kid for saving money.
1. Decide pocket money for yourself and for your kid. By doing this you will learn to limit your expenses.
2. Put Money left after all the expenses into Piggy bank. Along with your child buy a Piggy bank for yourself.Try to open the Piggy bank minimum after one year only.
3. Try to manage small expenses like treat and purchasing gifts from Piggy bank. This rule is applicable on you as well as on kid. Try to adjust all your minor expenses from your pocket money.
So lets start saving from this month.
